Circuit Civil cases are actively managed in accordance with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Rule 2.545 to ensure the just, timely, and efficient resolution of cases. Judges assume early, proactive management of each case from filing to disposition.
Pursuant to Rule 1.200 and Administrative Order 3-42.2, a Civil Case Management Plan is required at the time of filing. Civil Case Management Plans establish firm deadlines for service, discovery, motions, mediation, and trial preparation, which are strictly enforced. The Court monitors compliance, limits continuances, and prioritizes cases as required. Case managers assist with scheduling, tracking deadlines, and ensuring cases progress toward resolution in accordance with statewide time standards, Rule 2.250.
