Timothy Coon was the first African American Judge to serve in the Tenth Judicial Circuit. Appointed to the 10th Judicial Circuit's Polk County Bench in November of 1995, he continues to serve today as a Senior Judge. You can read more about him here: www.jud10.flcourts.org/?q=gallery/timothy-coon
