  • When should I report to Pre-Trial Services after I am released from jail?
    You should report to Pre-Trial Services immediately upon your release from jail if you are released prior to 4:00 pm. If you are released from jail after 4:00pm, you should report to Pre-Trial Services on the next business day.
  • What should I bring with me to the Pre-Trial Services office?
    You should bring the copy of the Order Granting Pre-Trial Release that you received from Polk County Jail Book-in personnel upon your release from jail.
  • What will happen when I arrive at the Pre-Trial Services office?
    Upon arrival to Pre-Trial Services office, you will proceed through security and experience a short wait prior to being seen by Pre-Trial Services staff. Typically, the program as well as the conditions of your release will be explained to you in approximately fifteen (15) minutes.
  • Are there any fees associated with Pre-Trial Release supervision?
  • Why was I placed on Pre-Trial Release supervision when I posted a bond?
    You were placed on Pre-Trial Release by the judge as a condition of your bond.
  • What is house arrest? What is the Global Positioning System (GPS)?
    If you are placed on house arrest as a condition of your Pre-Trial Release, you will be required to stay confined to your residence unless you are specifically given permission to leave your residence by your assigned Pre-Trial Release supervising staff member. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is an even more enhanced form of supervision wherein an electronic bracelet is typically placed around your ankle and tracks your location. The service for this ankle monitor is administered by Polk County Probation and is supervised by both Pre-Trial Services and county probation staff.
